We’re enjoying the last few days of summer break, absorbing as much sun as we can, playing outside, making fun. All of this doesn’t leave me with much time to craft, a good thing I had this layout still sitting on my worktable. It all started with some gelatos fun.
I took this picture a while back, when Nora was about to jump in the pool for one of her swimming lessons. These swimming lessons have not been an easy task for Nora, one that she will have to take up again within a few weeks. She’s not too keen on water yet.
So my title reads ‘you can do this’. She can, but she doesn’t know it yet. The title is cut with my Silhouette, and cut out of white cardstock. I’m sharing my Silhouette file at the bottom of this post, in case you would like to have it. Don’t hesitate to leave me a link if you happen to use it on a project.
For the background, I first applied a layer of gesso and allowed to dry. A few gelatos colors next to each other, and a lot of water, give a vibrant and colorful background. By adding a good amount of water, the colors get to mix and make a gradient transition. Some of the stamps, the masking tape, and stickers are from a local brand. You might have seen featured in my birthday giveaway as well.
