You might have seen that BasicGrey announced their new design team for the upcoming year a while back. I’m no longer part of the team, but I do want to say ‘congratulations’ to all the ladies that are on the new team. It’s an amazing team, and I’m sure they will inspire and surprise us.
This leaves me with almost no design team spots left. Of course I’m hoping that I will eventually get picked up by a cute DT again, sooner or later. But in the meantime, it’s all good. For the first time in about two years (since I started on my first DT), I’m not only working on assignments. I’m rediscovering designing just for me, and when I feel up for it. I’m having fun.
Also, we have a few new challenges awaiting in the fall. As I had mentioned in my previous blogpost already, ‘life as we know it’ is about to come to an end here in our house. September 1st the new schoolyear takes a start. And this time my little man will tag along with his big sister. Bittersweet, let me tell you. As excited as I am for him, I’m also sad to see my baby go and grow up so fast. I suppose you know what I mean …
But there won’t be much time to sit around and feel lonely, because I have a little adventure of my own coming up. Two weeks after school starts, I’m starting a new job. I’ve been home with the kids, since Nora was born, and this opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m sure we’ll all need to adjust and this will be challenging in many ways. But this will also be a good thing for all of us.
For you, as a visitor to my blog, there isn’t going to change much. You might have to bare with me for a bit, while we’re trying to find a new balance in life. But I’m hoping to stay creative and post regularly on my blog about it.
