I’m stopping by today to share a layout, made with BasicGrey’s Carte Postale collection. To be honest, I had a hard time creating with this collection, except for a few of the papers. The collection holds some bold colors and designs, and for some reason I’m really into light and airy designs currently. But on the other hand, some of the papers really were my thing, like the blueprint one I used here.
Since I’m working with a large picture for this layout, the rest of the design is kept simple. I have some smaller details in the upper left corner, and my main cluster with the title in the lower right corner. The vellum tapes are really fun to use. They add enough color to the layout, yet are also transparent enough for my taste.
I colored the wood veneer arrows with Pinstripe Mr. Huey’s color mist to make them match the rest of the layout. Those vintage postage stamp die-cuts are my favorite of this BasicGrey collection, I love that you tear them apart yourself and get that fun distressed edge.
Thanks for stopping by!
Els.
