Happy Saturday!! Summer is slowly but surely rolling towards its end. And I have just 2 more Weekend Guests lined up for you. I hope you enjoyed this blog series so far, and are welcoming todays guest with me. Today I have yet again an amazingly talented lady to introduce to you. Soraya Maes is just so colorful and cheerful, her work and Instagram-feed make me happy. I hope she has the same effect on you with the project she’s sharing today;)
Hello there! I’m Soraya Maes from Southern France and I’m very excited to be part of the summer weekend guests here for the lovely Els! I’m a scrapper for more than 8 years now, love everything free and inky, romantic and delicate, urban and dynamic! I guess I don’t have any particular style since I love to discover different technics and styles through the scrappy world 🙂 Oh! And I loooove journaling too, which take a big part in every project I make^^
I am a mother of two adorable kids Melina and Riyad who are my favorite subjects^^ I am married to my first love I knew 15 years ago, whe’re about to celebrate our 7th year of marriage, and I realize I haven’t made any album of this fabulous day yet! haha!
I work for several amazing DT like the french magazine EntreArtistes, OhDeerMeKit by FreckledFawn, ScrapKits&Co (a french kit club) and Pause Creative (stencils and wood stuff). I am very happy with my scrappy life and the great opportunities we have to meet fantastic people all over the world!

So here I am today to show you a layout I made with an inky background with watercolors, high color pigments Izink from Aladine, stamps and splashes.
First of all, I used a plastic bag to put my blue ink on the page by blending a drop of blue pigment and water then putting the mixture in the center of page using the plastic bag. Then I stamped different words and shapes with various colors all around this “center”.
Once done, I placed my photo and added some papers and embellies like diecuts, butterflies and puffy stickers.
Then, I used a watercolor yellow to add light touches here and there!
Finally, I splashed some black ColorShine for the contrast.
And tadaaa! It didn’t take me much time to make it, since I always process like this: background / photo / embellies
Hope you will like my project and maybe you will be inspired to have fun at home with it!
Have a lovely day and a great end of summer 🙂
Soraya.
