The Weekend Guest 2015

Happy Saturday!! I’m so honored to introduce you to my second Weekend Guest for this summer today. Lenny has a completely different style than Magda, who was my guest last week, but nonetheless I adore it. The cutesy creatures, bright coloring, and Lenny’s fun style always tend to cheer me up. I met Lenny a couple of years ago on Twitter, and to my surprise she was Belgian too. We’ve never met in person however – I think we should get that fixed some day. I’ll let her do the talking now;)

Lenny Sacreas

I’m an enthusiastic teacher who also loves paper crafting, reading, traveling, gardening and baking. I teach French in 7th and 8th grade. I love working with kids. French isn’t an easy language for kids that age … but it’s so fun when you can learn them new things. I love scrapbooking, making cards, decorating notebooks, gift bags, … My go to for coloring: Copics, but I also love water coloring and I’m trying to do some pencil coloring too. It’s so fun to learn new stuff. Current DT: the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team. Everywhere I go, I take a book or my Kindle with me; if I have a couple of minutes of free time … you’ll find me reading. I love spending time with family and friends! I’m from Belgium but my favorite country is the US.

Where do you find inspiration? | I follow lots of blogs and I’m inspired by lots of crafty friends. Pinterest is also a fun inspiration medium. Or being outside … looking around you … Museum visits can also work! Difficult question actually … these last couple of months I lost my mojo. Don’t know how that happened, I was always crafting and suddenly I lost the crafty happiness. I had a bit of a hate-relationship with my craft room, I must admit. 🙂 But … slowly, I’m finding my way back to crafting.

Where do you create? | In my craft room … always. All my supplies and craft stuff are stored there. When I’m working on a project (and it’s not yet finished), I can just leave everything, I don’t have to put everything away … so, the next day I can continue crafting.

Do you scrapbook on vacation? | No, not really. I’m always taking a notebook, some stickers, washi, colored pens or markers, … with me. That way, I can make a little travel journal.

More about my guest post project … I made a card and a matching pillow gift box. I used lots of Lawn Fawn supplies (one of my favorite things).

My inspiration: vacation time (I’m on Summer break) and friends … they make life more fun!

Coloring: I did some water coloring with Inktense pencils.

I always love pillow boxes, and this one is just to die for;) Thank you very much, Lenny, for sharing your project and a little bit about yourself here on my blog!! It was great having you here. And thank you, readers, for stopping by once again! Be sure to stop by Lenny’s blog to leave her some love and get some more inspiration.

See you!
