Proudly I present to you today, the very last of my Weekend Guests. I had a pretty amazing line-up this summer, and this lady is no less. I followed a few of her online classes, and I devoured her book. Janna has lots of talent and a way with techniques and paper that I’m unable to copy. So she couldn’t be left out of this summer series, and happily she said ‘yes’.
Hello my name is Janna Werner. I am a crafter, designer, author and (online) instructor from Oldenburg, Germany.
I am delighted to be guest at Els` blog today, I can´t recall how and when we met, but it seems ages ago. I am happy to call Els my friend, even though we never met in person.
SCRAPBOOKING IN GERMANY | The market is still growing. More and more people enjoy working with paper, glue, stickers and stamps. There are a lot of fantastic crafter.
WHERE I FIND INSPIRATION | Anywhere, really. Conversations, magazines, tv, books, blogs, Pinterest,..
WHERE I CREATE | Usually I sit in my craft room, sometimes I move my stuff into the living room to watch a bit tv, but I am less productive if I do so.
SCRAPBOOKING ON VACATION | Never done that 🙂

For today, I prepared a scrapbooking layout in DIN A4 which is a bit bigger than 8.5 x 11 inch. It is a standard size in Germany and you can easily get page protectors in that size, very comfortable!
As much as I love and adore pastels, I enjoy creating color- and powerful pages.
For this one, I used scrapbooking supplies by Heidi Swapp, Studio Calico, Simple Stories, Maggie Holmes and Stampin’ Up.
The photo shows our dog Sindri who loves to sleep in the weirdest positions. I have to admit I was a bit worried when I saw him lying like that, but it turned out he was just doing fine, enjoying a lazy saturday afternoon in front of the main door 😉
Sindri is a male dog, but as he was lying outside, I figured it would be ok to add flowers to the layout *smiles* and as probably won´t care anyway, there is no need to not add them, right? I stamped flower images onto vellum and cut them out, you can see them on the bottom left and top right corner of the photo. The other flowers are stickers and transparencies from Heidi Swapp.
I really like how the page turned out: colorful, a bit wild and very happy.
I hope you enjoyed today`s inspiration!
Have a lovely day,
Janna
Thank you so much, Janna, for accepting my invitation and inspiring us with your project and studio!
It’s with a bit of a sad, but very full heart that I say goodbye to this series of summer Weekend Guests. I feel so blessed to have had so many wonderful people all over the world, who wanted to participate. Thank you, readers, for stopping by so numerously over the course of this series. I hope you maybe got introduced to some unknown talent and have enjoyed their inspiring projects and creative processes. Be sure to stop by again next Saturday for a very special 10th post in this series. Enjoy your weekend!
