Hoi! Met Sinterklaas nu echt wel bijna kloppend aan onze deuren, wilde ik nog snel deze eenvoudige speculooswrappers met jullie delen. – Hi! Here in Belgium and the Netherlands Saint Nicholas is getting ready to knock on our doors to bring sweets and toys to the sweet kids, and so I wanted to quickly share these very simple wrappers with you before he’s here.
Ik gebruikte een smal strookje scrappapier van een ouder Project Pepernoot papierblok van Scrapdelight. Het kon nog iets breder zijn geweest, maar ik vond het er wel grappig uitzien als Sinterklaas op de verpakking zo net boven de wrapper uitpiept. – I used a small strip of paper with the word Saint Nicholas in Dutch written all over it. It could have been a bit taller, but I kind of liked that Saint Nicholas is peeking out from above the wrapper.
Ik wikkelde het strookje papier rond de speculoosjes, en maakte het met een stukje plakband achteraan vast. Op een labeltje stempelde ik het tekstje ‘wie zoet is krijgt lekkers’ van de Sint & Piet stempelset. Dat kleefde ik dan vooraan de wrapper ter afwerking. Deze zijn klaar voor de schoen! – I wrapped the paper strip around the ginger cookies, and adhered it together at the back with some tape. On a label I stamped a sentiment saying ‘who’s sweet gets a treat’, a line from a popular kids’ Saint Nicholas song around here. I adhered the wrapper onto the paper strip to finish it up. These are now ready to go in the shoes!
