Yesterday I was up on the Scrap365 blog, featuring one of Studio Tekturek’s beautiful paper lines. I got a set of papers of this amazing Sweet Memories collection. The color combination is very sunny and bright. So I dug out one of my sunniest summer pictures to go with these lovelies.
I started out with a piece of white cardstock to which I added some pink background color with Gelatos and spray ink. I wanted to go for a soft watercolor look, so I added the color to my page, and then spread it around with a wet paintbrush. The triangles paper is one of my favorites from this collection. I covered about a third of my page on the left side.
I stamped some large polka dots on a piece of vellum and embossed them with gold. This is inspired by the gold polka dot vellum by Dear Lizzy, one of the things I never got my hands on. So I made one myself. Before adhering it down to the background, I first added some masking tape and stamping to the background. I absolutely adore the journaling cards that are included in each of the Studio Tekturek collections. The grey one was perfect for holding my title and a few fun embellishments.
The pink letters are from BasicGrey’s True Love collection, last year’s Valentine collection. All the other embellishments are from Studio Calico and Freckled Fawn. Thanks for stopping by again today!
