Unlike week 28, week 29 had sunshine and happiness;) The weather finally changed and we were able to go outside. Biking, a lot of swinging, even a trip to the beach. Hello summer! * In tegenstelling tot week 28, had week 29 zon en plezier;) Het weer werd eindelijk weer wat beter, en we konden naar buiten toe. Fietsen, heel veel schommelen, en zelfs een uitstapje naar het strand. Hello summer!
As you might remember from last week, week 28 was a single spread. For week 29, I decided to start with a smaller insert. The frontside has some pictures of Tuur playing in our backyard – I’m working on trying to make a decent picture of a swinging girl;) * Zoals je je misschien nog herinnert van vorige week, week 28 was een enkele pagina. Voor week 29 besloot ik met een kleinere insert te werken. Vooraan zitten enkele foto’s van Tuur in onze tuin – ik ben volop aan het leren om een degelijke foto te maken van een schommelende meid;)
On the backside I cut up an enlargement of one of the beach pictures. I love how it sets the atmosphere. * Achteraan zit er een vergroting van één van de strandfoto’s. Dit brengt de sfeer heel mooi terug.
I happened to have some The Pier PL cards by Crate Paper. Of course they worked perfectly for this week’s spread. As usual, I added the week’s number to the title card, and the dates from Monday to Sunday. * Ik had nog enkele The Pier PL kaartjes van Crate Paper. Natuurlijk pastten die perfect bij de foto’s van deze week. Zoals gewoonlijk zette ik het nummer van de week op de titelkaart, en de data van maandag tot zondag.
More and more I find myself inserting two of the smaller 3×4 PL cards in the larger pockets. Partly because I’m always running out of the 4×6 cards, and never with the 3×4 ones. But also because I really love the look of all the small cards. I might have to order some other page protector designs – there’s always a good excuse to order some more supplies, am I right;) * Meer en meer betrap ik me erop dat ik kleinere 3×4 kaartjes gebruik in de grotere pockets. Deels omdat ik mijn 4×6 kaarten heel vaak allemaal heb op gebruikt, de 3×4 kaartjes nooit. Maar ook omdat ik de look vand die kleinere kaartjes wel mooi vind. Misschien moet ik binnenkort toch meer eens andere designs van mapjes gaan bestellen – er is altijd een goed excuus om nog meer spullen te komen, vind je niet;)
The rest of the week’s pictures make another single spread, and so the next week kan again take up a double facing spread. This one was so easy to make. * De rest van de foto’s van deze week vormen nog een enkele pagina, en dus kan volgende week weer een dubbele openliggende pagina vormen. Deze was heel makkelijk om te maken.
I didn’t make too much fuss about embellishing this page. I just loved it the way it is. A few small items were enough to my taste for this week, like this cork star from Freckled Fawn. * Ik maakte niet te veel problemen rond de versieringen van deze pagina. Ik vond ze gewoon zo ook al leuk. Een paar kleinere items waren genoeg naar mijn gevoel, zoals deze sterretje in kurk van Freckled Fawn.
I added the weather forecast screenprint to accentuate the contrast with last week’s weather. Every now and then, when the weather is unusual for the time of year, or is of significance for the week’s story, I make a screenshot of the weather forecast on my phone. The prints from that are small, but it’s nice to have this kind of overview in our album every once in a while. * Ik stak er ook de screenprint van de weersvoorspelling bij om het contrast met de vorige week te accentueren. Af en toe, als het weer uitzonderlijk is voor de tijd van het jaar, of als het belangrijk is voor het verhaal van die week, maak ik een screenshot van het weersvoorspelling op mijn telefoon. De prints zijn wel heel erg klein, maar ik vind het wel fijn om af en toe zo’n overzicht te hebben in onze album.
