Hi there! I’m happy to be back for another Project Life Monday here on the blog. Today I wanted to share week 9 with you all. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you might have seen this double spread on there a little while ago.
The house next door is currently under construction, in a few weeks we’ll have new neighbors. So that means big trucks are stopping by to make deliveries on a regular basis. A dream for my (heavy) vehicules obsessed little man.
I stamped the dates on the title card, and added that little transparent circle. That small wood veneer number is from an older Studio Calico wood veneer alphabet.
At the bottom of that same page there are a couple of pictures of Tuur, hiding underneath our coffee table. The new girl next door came to play with Nora for the very first time, and this one was a little intimidated by the new appearance. Fifteen minutes later he was happily running around with them in the backyard however;) I used a gold digital overlay from the Desktop Edition overtop one of the pictures, and stamped a sentiment above that.
Almost the entire spread is made with the High Five Edition Core Kit. The only exception is the red heart journaling card on the left page, which is from the Desktop Edition Core Kit.
In my first Becky Higgins order, I also added some of the overlays from different collections. It’s fun to work with a digital overlay on a picture, but being able to add the actual transparancy on the picture is even more fun. I can’t explain, but I think you might understand;) For this selfie of the boy and me, I used an overlay from the Adventure Edition.
Nora has collected a few Lego sets over the last two years, and somehow they all got messed up lately. She needed a little hand. So we ended up with a big pile of blocks in the middle of our living room, trying to build everything up again. I again used one of those transparent circles, which helps to tie the spread together.
I printed directly onto this journaling card, and added a phrase from an Ali Edwards digital stamp set at the top. I first printed it out onto a piece of printing paper to see if the spacing was right, before printing on the actual card.
In this week the girl started working on a mixed media canvas. You’ll see the end result on a future project Life spread.
Another fun week in the books;)
