Project Life 2015 | Week 17 – Becky Higgins DT

Happy Monday, friends! Today summer is really coming to an end for us. Tomorrow the kids start school again, and life gets back to its normal self. I’m kind of sad to see them go, because it’s just another reminder that they grow up way too fast. And throughout the schoolyear, time appears to be going even faster. On the other hand, I’ll be welcoming routine, my long missed friend;)

Week 17’s spread is a fun one. There was an open day at Tuur’s school, with a lot of fun activities for the kids, so a big part of the pictures are from that afternoon. The overall color scheme of my pictures was mainly red, and so I decided on a black, white, and red spread.

The left page is a design G page protector, the right page a design A page protector. All PL cards are from the High Five Edition Core Kit.

This smiley card is one of my favorites from the High Five kit, along with the many fun black on white quotes. The numbers are from an embossed alpha set by Heidi Swapp. I colored them with a red distress marker.

I folded one of the 4×6 cards from the kit, and added an extra picture to the inside.

This is my first time adding a QR-code to my PL album. The kids had prepared some dances for the open day, and I recorded some of it. I love that I can have this in our albums too. Sorry I can’t share this one with you, there were other kids in there, so I smudged the code a bit.

I’m a big fan of the Becky Higgins overlays. They often add just a perfect touch to a picture. This one is from the Southern Wedding edition.

I used the digital version of the High Five kit to add the journaling to my pages. As much as I love my typewriter, I can get a lot more journaling on a small spot than with the typewriter. And I usually have a lot to tell;)
