Hi there! I’m happy to find you here today. It’s been a while again, back to work in combination with the kids still being on their summer break, is totally killing my blogging and scrapping schedule. For that reason, I’m so ready for school to get started again. For that reason alone, I’m afraid. To be honest I’m so dreading the day they have to go back. Just one more week after this one. But enough of that. I’m here today to share one of my layouts that I made for the Pinkfresh Studio blog last week. One of my summer favorites for sure.
The pictures were taken on one of our daytrips during our family vacation early August. Locals might recognize the dragon. The pictures don’t belong together however. Nora did not take Tuur along to go and see the dragon. If you know our kids just a tad bit, you can imagine they were too scared to go anywhere near the animal. The pictures are just a couple of impressions of our day. I’ll probably scrap a few more, since we had an amazing time that day.
I chose that beautiful floral patterned paper from the Open Road collection by Crate Paper as my starting point for this page, and by doing so also determined the color combo I was going to work with. So I started going through my stuff looking for possible embellishments and more that could work. Since this layout was made for Pinkfresh Studio, I also added in a lot gorgeous Pinkfresh goodies. The canvas pocket, I just had to use. And underneath, I tucked one of the enamel polaroid frames. I love that the bottom is just sticking out, and shows just the sentiment. (Don’t worry, I trimmed away the rest of the frame, to use on another project later on ;))
Before putting my picture and embellishments down, I did just a tiny bit of stamping. I used a soft grey ink for the stamping, to match the grey ink splatters. The stamps are from the set found in the limited edition embellishment kit. I remembered the peach and mint ombré airmail tape, and used a strip of that behind my photo and embellishments. A bunch of colorblock wood veneer hearts and a brad sticker finish this page up. The beautiful camera and flowers are also from Crate Paper’s Open Road collection.
This had again been a slow blogging week, and I trust next week I will not be back to my regular blogging schedule yet. But once September is creeping in, I’ll be I hope to be crafting and blogging up a storm again. I’m also working on/brainstorming about a few exciting projects. Can’t wait to share;)

Ah, the layers and textures are so good! I want to recreate that pocket with fabric from my stash.
