When the Altenew shop first opened its virtual doors, I was waiting in line to get me some of those beautiful designed stamp sets. I had seen the previews and wanted to get my hands on a couple of stamp sets, because I really love the sharp, new, versatile style the company offers. For some reasons these stamps just do it for me. I wasn’t fast enough to get all the sets that I wanted, but I managed to put two in my cart, the Ori Kami set and the Sketchy Cities America set. They were awesome on my computerscreen, and they completely live up to the expectations in real life.
Today’s card I made with the Ori Kami set. The set has a few awesome sentiment stamps as well, and the wedding sentiment sparked the idea of having two of the elephants holding tails. I chose to work on a long narrow card, the card front is about 9cm x 21cm (3 1/2″ x 8 1/4″), so both elephants would easily fit on there.
To make the graphic design stronger, I kept the card really plain and simple. I chose two pieces of patterned paper in my stash of Studio Calico card kit paper pads, one with a more male feel to it, one with a more female feel. I stamped an elephant on each of them and just trimmed them out.
Thanks for visiting!
Els.
