Oh Christmas Tree

I have a fun project to share today. I made these a few weeks back, while preparing for the Christmas fair I told you about. The original idea is not mine unfortunately (why didn’t I think of that), I just made them a little me. I saw these here on Pinterest. * Ik heb een heel leuk project voor jullie vandaag. Ik maakte deze enkele weken geleden, toen ik bezig was met de voorbereidingen voor de kerstmarkt waar ik jullie over vertelde. Het originele idee was jammer genoeg niet van mij (waarom dacht ik daar nu niet aan), maar ik pastte ze wat aan aan mijn stijl. Ik zag ze hier op Pinterest.

So I dug out my circle nestabilities, and die-cutted about 5 circles of old book paper of each of the dies. I wrinkled them all up, and flattened them out again. In between all of the layers is a layer of corrugated cardboard, to give the tree some extra height. Add in a stick and a lot of hot glue. For the trunks, not really visible on this picture however, I used a small slice of a branch. * Dus zocht ik mijn cirkel nestabilities samen, en sneed van iedere cirkel er een 5-tal uit oud boekpapier. Ik verfrommelde ze en wreef ze weer plat. Tussen elk van de laagjes zit een stukje golfkarton, om de boom wat meer hoogte te geven. Voeg nog een stokje en heel veel warme lijm toe. Voor de stammetjes, die hier op de foto echter niet zo goed te zien zijn, gebruikte ik smalle stukjes van een tak.

Hope I’ve been able to inspire you. * Ze zijn heel mooi als decoratie-item voor de feestdagen. En je kan ze zo groot en zo klein maken als je zelf graag wil. Ik hoop dat ik jullie kon inspireren.
