National Scrapbooking Day

Geplaatst in: scrapbooking 3

Since yesterday was (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day, I tried my very best to carve out some time to get crafty. Well … I didn’t make it;) In between chores, running errands, and getting together with family to celebrate my mother’s birthday, it just didn’t happen. And I’m cool with that. So I don’t have a new NSD inspired layout to share here today. But not to worry, here’s one that I made a little while ago, but didn’t get to share yet.

Nora loves to craft. Coloring, drawing, cutting, pasting, stamping, … you name it. She has a thing for it. Whenever she sits down on her crafting table, we end up with a batch of new art work, she rarely ever just makes one item. Ironing beads are the latest addition to her craft supplies, and, I may be biased, but I think she’s pretty good at pattern making.

The title is a Silhouette cut I bought in the online store. I cut it out of soft pink paper to match the yummy patterned papers from Studio Calico’s Office Hours card kit. This must have been one of my favorite kits so far. The background canvas paper is from DCWV’s The Sweet Blossom Stack. I love that collection of papers. The blue is used here for the background makes the blue beads in the picture pop.

Behind the picture sits a piece of ribbon from an older Studio Calico card kit, and a transparent card from Freckled Fawn. I cut the transparency in two, so it could pop out on both sides of the picture. This is one of those layouts that I made just for fun, the fabulous patterned papers just made me itchy to do something with them.

Do What You Love by Els BrigéHope you had a great National Scrapbooking Day! Thanks for stopping by again today!

Els.
