Love Life | Studio Tekturek

With the start of a new month, there’s always the start of a new challenge over on the Studio Tekturek blog. So you might have seen this layout over there earlier. For this month the challenge is to lift this beautiful layout by Mira. To be honest, I totally fell in love with that layout. There were so many little details and elements about it inspiring me, that this layout came together so easily.

I used one of the papers of the Peachy Christmas collection by Studio Tekturek as the background for my page. I applied a layer of gesso to it and allowed to dry before adding color to the background with spray mists. I pretty much followed the exact same sketch as the inspirational project, and adhered a piece of the floral Sweet Memories papers along the bottom of the page.

I mounted my picture onto a few layers of patterned paper, and then went looking for a bunch of matching embellishments through my stash. The picture was taken on Nora’s birthday. We had a party with the family in the backyard since the weather was so beautiful that day. After devouring the cake, princess Nora made her way to the swing. The picture was taken by my husband and shared through Instagram.

I added a flair from the Instalove 3 set by A Flair For Buttons. My sticker sheet from Studio Calico’s Sundrifter collection showed good use for this project. I adored the little pink letters for the title, which just fitted the space I had there.

There’s still some time to play along with our challenge. Until the 25th to be exact. At this point there’s no obligation to use Studio Tekturek papers. So, get behind your worktable and play along for your chance to win a beautiful set of papers. Have fun!!
