June month at the Crate Paper blog is all about polka dots. I always get so inspired whenever I visit the Crate Paper blog (they have such a talented design team), that I decided to play along with this months’ challenge. This layout has been laying on my desk since last week, I’m happy to have found a moment to blog about it. I’m still struggling quite a bit to make a layout or card that I actually like. My mind has been clouded with a few other things the last few weeks and my mojo has been on vacation ever since – lol.
This layout has a mix of Maggie Holmes’ and the Fourteen collection for a big part. I started out with white cardstock and sprayed and splattered some pink glimmer mist on my background.
After positioning my patterned paper and picture, I stamped a few polka dots for extra interest along the edges of the center element. I used a small stamp from Scrapperin’s Form & Feder set for that.
How I love those Maggie Holmes die-cuts. That camera is one of my favorites. I feel the urge to hoard, but try to resist. The picture was taken on a very hot day last summer, while Nora and Tuur were playing in their sandbox.
I had a lot of fun cooking this one up. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
