Hallo iedereen! De lente zit echt al een beetje in de lucht! Het weer kan nogal veranderlijk zijn deze tijd, maar langzamerhand gaan we toch echt merken dat het lente wordt. Vandaag heb ik dan ook een kaart voor jullie die voor mij dat gevoel goed weergeeft. – Hey everyone! Spring is in the air! The weather can be a bit fickle this time of year, but you can feel that slowly but surely, it’s Springtime. So today I have I card for you that for me, embodies that Spring feeling.

Als eerste maakte  ik een achtergrond voor de kaart. Ik sneed een witte rechthoek uit, en daarna sneed ik smalle stroken uit verschillende kleuren groen, en plakte deze schuin op de witte rechthoek. Simpel, maar effectief. En mooi toch, zo veel kleuren groen bij elkaar? – First, I made a background for my card. I cut out a white rectangle, and also a bunch of strips out of different colours of green cardstock. I taped this diagonally onto the rectangle. Simple, but effective. And don’t you just love all those different shades of green together?

Uit zilver glitter cardstock sneed ik een ovaal frame. Daarachter plakte ik acetaat, zodat je een mooi ‘raam’ krijgt. Ik strooide wat kleine kristallen op de achtergrond, en plakte het frame met foamtape op de kaart. Mijn idee was dat de kristallen dauwdruppels of regendruppels konden voorstellen. En natuurlijk heb ik soms een excuus nodig voor een mooie schudkaart … – Out of silver glitter cardstock I cut an oval frame. Behind that I taped some acetate, so that you get a nice ‘window’. I scattered some small crystals on the background, and taped the frame onto the card using foamtape. The thought behind this was that the crystals could be dewdrops or raindrops. And of course, sometimes I need an excuse to make a shaker card …

Nu nog het ‘piéce de resistance’; een van de prachtige bloemen uit de ‘Helleborus’ set. Het maakt niet uit hoe je deze bloemen kleurt, ze zijn altijd supermooi. Deze keer koos ik voor alcohol markers in blauw/groene tinten. Ik sneed daarna de bloem uit met de bijbehorende snijmal, en plakte de bloem op de kaart. Ik vond dat de kaart verder niets meer nodig had, niet eens een tekst. Je kan ‘m zo voor meerdere gelegenheden gebruiken, en ik denk ook zo dat deze kaart heel snel verzonden gaat worden! – Now for the ‘piéce de resistance’; one of the beautiful flowers from the ‘Helleborus’/’Hellebore’ set. It doesn’t matter how you colour these flowers, they always come out gorgeous. I chose alcohol markers this time, in shades of blue and green. Then I cut out the flower with the matching die, and glued it onto the card. I didn’t think the card needed more, not even a sentiment. This way you can use it for more than one occasion, and I think this card is going to be sent out soon!
