Jij bent jarig!/It’s your birthday! | Willeke

Hallo allemaal, – Hi all,

Het is weer maandag. Een nieuwe week met nieuwe kansen. Soms ben ik wel eens nieuwsgierig hoeveel mensen op de wereld te gelijk jarig zullen zijn. Jullie ook? In ieder geval weet ik dat er binnenkort weer veel jarigen zijn. Dus wil ik mijn voorraadje weer verder aanvullen. – It’s Monday again. A new week with new opportunities. Sometimes I’m curious how many people in the entire world are celebrating their birthday on the same day. You too? There are a lot of birthdays coming up soon, so I want to restock my card stash.

Ik heb een basis kaart gesneden van 10,5 bij 15 cm. Daarbij heb ik nog een wit cardstock van 10 bij 14,5 cm gesneden en deze met blauwe inkt aan de randjes beïnkt.  Op een kaart formaat papier ben ik druk aan het stempelen gegaan met de vintage number stempelset. De kleuren blauw, geel en groen heb ik daarvoor gebruikt. Toen ik klaar was met het stempelen heb ik 3 strookjes van 2 bij 9 cm eruit gesneden. Ook deze heb ik aan de randjes met blauwe inkt beïnkt.  De tekst ‘dit is jouw grote dag’ heb ik boven de eerste strook gestempeld en ‘jij bent jarig’ heb ik gestempeld en uitgestansd. Nu even alles netjes vast plakken en dan is het kaartje klaar. – I cut a 10.5 x 15 cms base card, and cut another piece of white cardstock of 10 x 14.5 cms, which I inked with blue along the edges. On a standard sized card I stamped the numbers from the Vintage numbers stamp set in blue, yellown and green. After finishing that up I cut 3 strips of 2 x 9 cms from this card. I also inked the edges of these strips with blue ink. I stamped the smaller sentiment (saying ‘this is your big day’) above the first stamped strip, and added the stamped and die-cut ‘jij bent jarig’, which means ‘it’s your birthday’.That finishes up my card.
