How-To Video| Watercolor Backgrounds

Geplaatst in: scrapbooking, tutorial, video 2

Hi everyone! How are you today?? I have something special for you today. I had some question a few weeks back about how I create my watercolor backgrounds on my projects. So I made a video sharing some of my techniques. Enjoy!!

Here’s another look at the layout I made with the background I made in the video. I had a pretty good plan in my head on how my layout was going to look. So I only applied watercolor to certain areas of my background. I think the watercoloring fits really well with the picture here and adds to the theme of the puddles of water. All in all I aimed for a very soft look in patterned papers and embellishments. The title is a Silhouette cut.

The basic idea is pretty simple. Spread out a layer of gesso onto your cardstock, let it dry, and play. Have fun!!

Els.
