The Moxie Fab World blog is having a Doilies and Lace Challenge. Not my kind of thing I thought. All the more reason to give it a try. Surprisingly, this card came together pretty easily. I finally had a chance to use this older patterned paper I had been saving up. I knew there was going to be an occasion where it would fit. I trimmed the left side following the scallops of the patterned paper to accentuate the doilies effect.
Op de Moxie Fab World blog loopt op dit moment een Doilies and Lace (onderleggertjes en kant) challenge. Niet meteen mijn ding, dacht ik. Reden om het toch te proberen. Verrassend genoeg ging het heel snel om deze kaart te maken. Eindelijk had ik de kans om dit ouder scrappapier eens te gebruiken, dat ik al lange tijd had gespaard. Ik wist dat er een gepaste gelegenheid zou voor komen. Ik knipte de linker zijde af langs de boord van het patroon om het effect van een onderlegger te accentueren.
I made a flower from lace borders and added a button. The butterfly is a mini chipboard butterfly from Maya Road, which I colored with Dark Chocolate ink and stamped with the music sheet stamp from Prima (Songbird set) in Memories White. The sentiment (Papertrey Ink) and the leaves are distressed with Old Paper Distress Ink. The leaves have a fold in the middle and are adhered to the card with an extra layer of dimensional adhesive around the edges, to make them pop of the card a bit more.
Ik maakte een bloem met kanten boorden en bracht er een knoop op aan. De vlinder is een mini chipboard vlinder van Maya Road, die ik kleurde met Dark Chocolate inkt en bestempelde met de muzieknoten stempel van Prima (Songbird set) in witte Memories inkt. De wens (Papertrey Ink) en de blaadjes werden gedistressed met Old Paper Distress Inkt. De blaadjes hebben een vouw in het midden en zijn op de kaart aangebracht met een extra laagje foam tape aan de randen, om ze wat meer dimensie te geven.
