First of all, I would like to say a very sincere ‘thank you’ for your enthusiasm on Riikka’s guest post. In case you missed it, Riikka was my very first Weekend Guest the past weekend, and shared an amazing project, & one of her famous start to finish videos. You can still check it out here!
Happy Monday! I know it’s not my usual way to blog on a Monday, but my July blog schedule is crazy busy. You’ll see me checking in almost on a daily basis, on quite a few days I even have 2 posts planned out for you guys. So here I am kicking the week off together with you, we better do this right. I have a fun Studio Tekturek project to share today.
A little over a week ago the grandson of a sweet friend was celebrating his birthday. So I send out this cute boys present and matching card to him for the occasion. I love the fun paper planes paper from the ‘One Way Ticket’ collection by Studio Tekturek, and it couldn’t be more fitting for a boy celebrating his birthday.
I used quite a few cards of the die-cut sheet of this collection. I used two of those cards on my card, and then trimmed out the ‘right now’ circle of another one for my actual present. I also trimmed out a couple of those paper airplanes, and popped them up with some dimensional adhesive. On the card I used a black marker to make the traces of the planes.
In my latest Studio Tekturek DT box, I also found a few sets of label stickers coordinating with the paper collections. I used a green one here on my present. They come in a few different shapes, sizes and colors.
If you’re curious what type of present I’m sending out to a little boy, this Jip and Janneke book is what he got. My kids absolutely adore this book, and made us read it to them from cover to cover a few times already. We often read about two of these stories at bedtime. I thought it was about time that I send Jip and Janneke across the Atlantic, to hopefully bring joy to a boy and his grandmother reading it together.
