Hello Spring | A Flair For Buttons

I’m up on the A Flair For Buttons blog today. You might have seen it on Instagram or one of the other social media I’m frequenting, spring is definitely in the air here in Belgium. And that makes me very much in the mood for spring and summer projects. This one I made last week. The picture was taken last year, when Nora came home from school as an Easter bunny.

I tried my best to keep my layout as light and airy as possible. So I started out with a sheet of white cardstock as my background – I have a thing for white lately – and added just a small piece of patterned paper from Glitz Designs’ Finnley 6×6 paper pad. Underneath that a bigger piece of vellum to accentuate the softness. I added a flair of the Script Words set from A Flair For Buttons to one of the butterflies. The perfect sentiment for this layout.

I did some stamping to the white background to break up the whiteness, and to add a bit of extra interest. I used an older Inkadinkado flower stamp and my new Mint Hint ink pad from Studio Calico. I love the color of this ink. This project might be the perfect mix between older and newer products. The butterflies have been in my stash for such a long time and also the stamp isn’t new, but they mix up really well with the papers and other embellishments.
