This must be one of my favorite collections in a long time. BasicGrey’s Hey Boy collection was one of those collections that I fell in love with almost immediately. I can’t help it, I just have a thing for these colors and designs. And they fit my boy so well.
I wanted to make a page with the brown woodgrain patterned paper. And I love how the bright yellow and green pop against the brown. To add some color accents I again turned to BasicGrey’s Candy Buttons. These yellow ones are really fun on this layout. As are the pin images from the Hey Boy collection.
The chipboard alphas for this collection are just neat. It’s a cool font and I love the dimensional aspect; I had to search a bit and be creative for a good title for this page though, since I had used a lot of these letters already.
All and all this is a pretty easy and straightforward page, but it is one of my favorites from the past few weeks. Because of the papers and embellishments, and maybe a bit because of the cheeky little boy in the pictures. I guess I’m biased.
