Happy Birthday

Some fun news to start with: my cards from the ‘Something old, Something new’ post were featured in the challenge gallery on Cards Blog last friday. And I was named as one of the Fab5 on 2S4Y with the card from last post. Woohoow!! This is so rewarding!! Thanks Cards Blog and 2S4Y!! And thanks to all of you guys for your sweet comments!!

Eerst een beetje leuk nieuws: mijn kaarten van de ‘Something old, Something new’ post werden getoond in de challenge gallerij van Cards Blog vorige vrijdag. En ik werd bij de Fab5 van 2S4Y vernoemd met mijn kaart van de vorige post. Woohoow!! Dat geeft voldoening!! Bedankt Cards Blog en 2S4Y!! En bedankt voor al jullie fantastische commentaren!!

Todays’ card has been on my crafting table for a few days, because I didn’t have time to post it yet! It’s a card for the current Caardvarks sketch challenge. I’ve been going trough a lot of my older stuff the last week and I found a few treasures here and there, like this patterned paper from Basic Grey. It felt good to broaden my view a bit again. I just kept looking to those same few items and got completely stuck last week. I started the card with scallops as the sketch was implying, but chanced it to torn edges as the card was coming together. I’m also entering the card for the current Hero Arts challenge.

De kaart van vandaag ligt al een paar dagen op mijn bureau, maar ik had nog geen tijd om ze te tonen! Het is er één voor de huidige Caardvarks schets challenge. Ik ben een beetje gaan grasduinen in mijn oudere spullen en heb een paar schatten gevonden, zoals deze streepjes van Basic Grey. Het deed wel deugd om mijn horizon weer een beetje te verruimen. Ik bleef maar naar die zelfde paar items zitten staren en kwam vorige week helemaal vast te zitten. Ik begon met mijn dessinpapier te ponsen voor een geschulpte rand, zoals de schets suggereerde, maar veranderde dit in gescheurde randen naarmate de kaart verder tot stand kwam. Ik gebruik de kaart ook voor de huidige Hero Arts challenge.
