Hallo allemaal! Het is mijn beurt om weer een kaartje te laten zien en ik heb gekozen voor een huwelijkskaart. De uitnodiging van het koppel was ook in zwart-wit tinten, dus heb ik het bij dezelfde kleuren gehouden. – Hi all! It’s my turn to share another card with you, this time I chose to show you a card for a marriage. The invitations of the happy couple was in black and white too, so I worked with the same colors.

Als basis heb ik een witte kaart genomen en heb deze gemat met zwart cardstock. Daarop kwam weer een laag wit cardstock, die ik bestempeld heb met de woorden “mevrouw & mijnheer” in versamark inkt. Ik heb er vervolgens zwart, glitterend embossingpoeder over gestrooid en alles geëmbosst. De woorden “mevrouw&mijnheer” en het tekstje in het midden komen uit de “mijnheer&mevrouw” stempelset. – I started with a white cardbase and a mat from black cardstock. On top of that I added another layer of white cardstock, onto which I stamped the words ‘mijnheer & mevrouw’ (= mister & misses) in Versamark ink. I embossed the words with black sparkling embossing powder and hit it with my heat tool. The words are all from the ‘mijnheer & mevrouw’ stamp set.

Net als Ellen vorige week heb ik gekozen voor een iets oudere set. Maar dan wel gecombineerd met een nieuwe set: “ranonkel”. Ik vond de bloemen perfect passen bij de stijl en zo worden ze weer heel feestelijk.  De bloemen heb ik ook weer bewerkt met embossingpoeder, wit deze keer, en uitgesneden met de bijpassende stansset. Ze zijn verhoogd bevestigd achter het vierkant met tekst. Om het geheel af te maken heb ik nog een zwart stukje touw enkele keren rond de kaart gewikkeld. – Just like Ellen last week, I chose to work with an older set, but combined it with the new ‘ranonkel’ (=ranunculus) stamp set. I thought the florals matched the style perfectly, and they become very festive this way. I embossed the flowers and leaves with white embossing powder, and cut them out with the coordinating die set. I adhered them with dimensional adhesive behind the square with the sentiment. To finish the card up I wrapped some black twine a couple of times around the card.

Je ziet het niet zo goed op de foto’s (het was ook moeilijk om het zo te fotograferen) maar wanneer je de kaart plat legt, lijkt het zwart bijna zilver. Rechtop dan weer zwart. Speciaal! – You can’t see it very well on the pictures (it was very difficult to capture), but when you lay the card down, the almost looks like silver. Standing up it’s black again. Extraordinary!
