I’m happy to announce that I was selected as a Trigger Target on the Moxie Fab World blog earlier today (here). Thank you very much, Cath!! I decided to take part in their Fun with Fabric Challenge too. To me it was a first to incorporate fabric in a card project. I was inspired by an older add I saw quite some time ago, I don’t even remember for which company it was. I had a sketch and some notes jotted down in a sketchbook, and went from there.
Ik ben blij te kunnen aankondigen wat ik werd geselecteerd als Trigger Target op de Moxie Fab World blog eerder vandaag (hier). Heel erg bedankt, Cath!! Ik besliste ook deel te nemen aan hun Fun with Fabric challenge. Voor mij is het de eerste keer dat ik stof gebruik op een kaart. Ik werd geïnspireerd door een oudere advertentie die ik een tijd geleden zag, ik weet niet eens meer voor welke fabrikant. Ik had een schetsje en wat notities in een schetsboek gekrabbeld, en vertrok van daaruit.
It’s a card for a gentleman turning 70. The sentiment is stamped on the ribbon with some Charcoal Chalk Ink. I really love the look of it. There’s a whole lot going on on the background, but I tried to keep it all toned down, so your attention is drawn to the tag and sentiment first.
Het is een kaart voor een man, die binnenkort 70 wordt. De wens is op het lint gestempeld met Charcoal Chalk inkt. Ik hou wel van deze look. Er is veel op de achtergrond te zien, maar ik probeerde van het allemaal niet te opzichtig te maken, zodat je aandacht eerst naar het label en de wens wordt getrokken.

This is a very cool take on the fabric challenge- I love the little snippets layered & sewn down the middle. Totally draws you in to the sentiment! 🙂
