It’s going to be all about Studio Tekturek here on the blog this week;) First of June a new monthly challenge went up over on the Studio Tekturek blog (I’ll share more about that here on my blog on Thursday), and yesterday was my day to post on the Studio Tekturek blog. I thought I’d share this layout with you here today. I had some fun summer pictures from 2 years ago left in my stash, and so I pulled out the Sweet Memories collection, to add to that summer feel.
The pictures were taken on a schooltrip to the beach. To be honest I have scrapped these pictures before, but absolutely didn’t love the outcome back then. So I took the layout apart, recycled what was still usuable, and put the pictures back in my stash. Now felt like a good time to give them another try. I loved how the colors of my pictures coordinated with the Sweet Memories collection by Studio Tekturek, and so I made a start. The smaller picture of the two is not the best, I know, but nevertheless to me, this was a story that I wanted to include in our albums.
I’ve loved that look of pictures sitting on the edge of a page in other peoples’ work, but I always seem to end up with my pictures stuck in the middle of my layout. But I wanted to try and change that here with this layout. When adding two of the journaling card from the die-cut sheet of the Sweet Memories collection, my focal area happened to just fill the width of the page.
The triangles paper is one of my favorites from the Sweet Memories collection, and also that journaling card with the triangles and the label makes my heart pitter patter. I added some vellum stickers and a rubber banner to the label, topped off with some embellishments. While finishing up this layout, the postman rang my doorbell and brought me some of the brand spanking new Studio Tekturek papers (they are gorgeous!!!), and some flair of this Sweet Memories collection. I just couldn’t resist to adding one of those badges to my page here.
Have a great day!!
Els.
