Embellish tags challenge

Geplaatst in: cardmaking 0

Hi,

As of this week I’m officially unemployed again. What a crappy feeling! I’ve been on maternity leave for the last few months, which was heavenly. But from now on my status is ‘unemployed’ again. And I’ve been feeling off about it all week.

On a brighter note: I’ve had a chance to cook up a card for the current Embellish challenge over the weekend. It’s my first challenge entry in ages, and I’m so happy to be part of this again. Here’s the inspiration:

Well, I’m not a blue person. I find myself using it almost never in my cards and layouts. I can deal with an aqua type of blue, but a darker and deeper blue. Not my thing. As much as I love these patterned papers I’ve used on the card, I’m not too good at finding a descent use for them. Until now.

It’s not the best card ever, but I’m quite satisfied with the finishing result of this huge challenge. Had to use some tricks however to tie this card together.  My only grey element was this handmade flower.

So I had to search for ways to repeat the grey on the rest of the card. So I did some stamping and some stitching.

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Els.
