Earlier this week I got to share the awesome news that I was selected to be part of the Studio Tekturek DT. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you might have seen that I shared the link to the announcement. Studio Tekturek is a new company of scrapbooking papers and embellishments, and I think these papers are pretty amazing. These are the first two collections from this manufacturer. I was instantly in love.
Over on the Studio Tekturek blog we kicked of the first challenge. On a monthly basis a sketch challenge goes up. At this point there’s no obligation in using ST papers. But this is a chance to win a set of these beautiful papers. Here’s this month’s sketch.
And here’s my layout for this month’s sketch. I ended up turning it upside down. The picture is an Instagram shot, taken last week. We visited Ghent, which is so beautiful this time of year, with all the lights. Of course, I had to use the Peachy December collection for this picture.
The red elements on the picture were complemented very well by the red patterns of the papers. The Christmas lights inspired me to add some gold to the color combination. I love how it warms up the page.
Most embellishments are from Freckled Fawn’s monthly embellishments kits. The stamps are from Studio Calico. And of course I also had to add one of those beautiful December Daily flairs.
For the splatters of gold, I mixed some liquid glue up with water and flicked it onto my page. I then added loose fine gold glitter and gave it enough time to dry.
Head on over to the Studio Tekturek blog to check out the work from the other DT ladies. They made some awesome inspiring layouts. And of course, we’d love it if you joined the challenge. Thanks for stopping by today!
