Most of you might have seen on my Instagram or Twitter account, about a week ago I decided I wanted to do a December Daily after all. A bit late to the party, I know … I have been hesitating for such a long time. I really felt like doing one, especially since Shelley send me some of those amazing December Daily flairs, but then again I didn’t finish my album last year. I decided not to stress myself about it this year, and go for a loose version of December Daily, the December maybe-not-so-Daily, the ‘we’ll see where it leads us’ version. And I’m totally cool with that.
To be honest, it were these papers by Studio Tekturek that won me over. The collection is called Peachy Christmas, and I totally love it. It’s cool and non-traditional, yet Christmas-y enough. So when I saw these, my last bit of hesitation to start my DD album went out the door.
I dug out some of my favorite December Daily flair, that were going to match the color combo I had in mind for my cover. I worked on a BasicGrey mini-album with woodgrain embossing on the cover, which I painted white. I chose for this type of album because it’s a smaller type album, and because of the divided page protectors that were inside. For this year’s December Daily I want to try pocket scrapping again.
I cut a deer out of patterned paper with my Silhouette Cameo. It’s a template I found on Pinterest, which I transferred into a Silhouette file. The kraft December Daily flair matches the colors of the front very well.
I adhered the December 2013 flair onto a white snowflake to the spine of the album. That way I can see what’s inside the album when it’s sitting on my shelves. Next up are the inside pages of course. I’m looking forward to them.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great end of the year!
