I have a fun card to share today. I made it a while ago for a publication call, but it didn’t get picked eventually. The fish and letter stickers are from BasicGrey’s Konnichiwa collection. The little puffy hearts are much more of an orangy pink in real life and lean towards the pink of the fish’s heads. I have no idea why they turned out so vibrant in the pictures. * Ik heb vandaag een leuke kaart te tonen. Ik maakte ze een tijdje geleden voor een publicatievraag, maar ze werd uiteindelijk niet gekozen. De vissen en letterstickers zijn van BasicGrey’s Konnichiwa collection. De kleine hartjes zijn in het echt meer een oranje-roze en leunen van kleur dicht aan tegen het kleur van de vissenkopjes. Ik heb geen idee waarom ze zo fel zijn geworden op de foto’s.
I started out by splattering some spray ink onto the front of my card. I tried to center my splatters around the spot where I knew my fish were going to come. I allowed it to dry well and then added a big dab of Glossy Accents on each of the splatters so they would look like drops of water. I’ve put the fish on some dimensional adhesive to make them stand out a bit more. * Ik ging eerst aan de slag met mijn spray inkt en maakte een hoop spatten op mijn kaart. Ik probeerde ze een beetje te centreren rond de plaats waar de vissen zouden gaan komen. Nadat alles goed was gedroogd, bracht ik op elk van de spatjes een dotje Glossy Accents aan, zodat ze op waterdruppels zouden gaan lijken. Ik plaatste de vissen op stukjes 3D tape zodat ze een beetje meer tot hun recht komen.
TGIF! So happy that we made it through the first week of school. And I’m even more happy that the weekend is upon us. This evening the September fair started in our town, so there’s lots to do for the kids. I hope you’ll have a great weekend! * Blij dat het vrijdag is! Ik ben heel blij dat we door de eerste schoolweek zijn geraakt. En nog veel blijer dat het nu weekend is. Deze avond ging hier de september kermis van start, dus er zijn heel wat activiteiten voor de kinderen dit weekend. Ik hoop dat jullie een fantastisch weekend hebben!

Another beautiful card!! I am trying to learn to do splatters; you do it so well and then adding glossy accents was great!! Fall is definitely in the air; here in Colorado our aspen are turning yellow. Enjoy the Fair there in your town.
