Welcome to my blog for the A Flair For Buttons & The Cut Shoppe Blog Hop. You should have come hopping here from the lovely Heather Adams’ blog. If not, you should hop over there to start this journey of inspiration.

I had so much fun sitting down and creating with Ashley’s beautiful cut files, and the matching flair set Shelley made. Eventually I ended up making two layouts with one and the same cut file. I just loved the file, and wanted to see the end result when using the acutal cut as well as the negative.

I sized the cutfile pretty large, so it would cover almost an entire 12×12 piece of paper. I had some older baby pictures of my son, which matched this title perfectly. He was so ready to go and take over the world at that point, just not capable to crawl just yet.

I chose to work with this beautiful colorful background paper, and so I kept the embellishing really simple, yet playful. For this layout I used the Phrases 1 flair set and the special blog hop set.

For some reason the negatives always attract me just as much as the positive cuts, and I just love puzzling in all the little bits and pieces to restore the images. When popping all the pieces onto dimensional adhesive, and adhering them in place, that’s when the true magic happens;)

Again, the dimension on this layout is amazing. I just love it! The map patterned paper behind the cutfile accentuates it. For this layout, I chose to leave the words out, and just cover that part with my pictures and patterned paper. I didn’t want to end up with two almost identical pages.

This is so awesome! I love how you used the diecut in a fun and dressy way and then in a more playful way. These layouts have totally different “vibes.” I love it! And you have now reminded me that I need to get out that gorgeous piece of My Mind’s Eye paper and use it. 🙂
